The excellent and varied menu, super beer selection, wonderful wines, and friendly staff make this a seriously excellent pub, as good as any in Australia. They take their beer seriously here, so it can be hard to choose from the amazing variety. And the wine list, by glass or bottle, isn’t an afterthought.
Upstairs is a really quirky and enjoyable restaurant, which is great for a serious night out. The decor is amazing, the comfy booths invite a longish stay, and they sell wine by glass, half bottle/carafe and bottle.
Downstairs is the slightly cheaper pub, but the food is no less good than upstairs. Again the range of drinks is great. It has a sheltered smoking area at the back, but I prefer the front bar.
